
Salsa Macha
A rich Veracruz-style chile oil with toasted nuts, seeds and garlic for spooning over tacos.
Ingredients
- 1 cup neutral oil
- 8 dried árbol chiles
- 3 dried ancho chiles
- 4 garlic cloves
- 1/2 cup peanuts
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar
- 1 tsp salt
Instructions

Gently fry garlic, chiles, peanuts and sesame in oil until fragrant, without burning.

Cool for 10 minutes.

Blend to a coarse, spoonable texture with vinegar and salt.

Store refrigerated in a clean jar and stir before serving.
