
Chipotle Copycat Tortillas
Soft, pliable flour tortillas with the same pillowy chew as the burrito shop version.
Ingredients
- 3 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 tsp salt
- 1 tsp baking powder
- 1/3 cup neutral oil or lard
- 1 cup warm water
Instructions

Whisk flour, salt and baking powder together.

Work in the oil or lard with your fingers until sandy.

Add warm water gradually and knead 5 minutes into a smooth, soft dough.

Cover and rest 30 minutes so the gluten relaxes.

Divide into 10 balls and roll each very thin.

Cook on a dry hot skillet 45 seconds per side, until puffed with light brown spots.

Stack in a towel to steam and stay soft.
